Rippling Water Chandeliers
At a bold 9” x 47,” Rob Scavuzzo’s Rippling Water Chandeliers© draw light and energy as they float in space. Crafted using a unique technique that melds very old plate glass production with modern technologies of graphite milling, Rob creates these sculptures as a paean to glass working traditions at the turn of the twentieth century. Even as these chic pendant lights nod to artisans of the last century, they at the same time evoke the eddies and ripples of water’s movement: a fitting link between nature and engineering, between water and light and human innovations in design. .
